This Week’s New Games

What a week! From commando bunnies, to Finnish sauna phyics to a sequel to one of the best puzzle games of all time, we’ve had a rollercoaster of updates here at Kwikgames! Here are our pick of the best new games this week…

LightBot 2.0

Lightbot was one of the best Flash games of all time, and not it’s back and better than ever! If you have a logical brain and can think like a programmer you’ll love solving every level of this unique and inspired puzzle game.

Terramek

8 levels of mech blasting action. You control Terramek, a state of the art turreted bipedal war machine equipped with interchangable weapons. Your goal is to make your way through 8 levels, destroying enemies and collecting treasure and upgrades along the way.

Bunny Flags

You’re a lone bunny command with a single mission - defend the flag at all costs! This is an action strategy game with lots of upgrades, bonuses and options - and one fluffy bunny with a big gun!

Saunavihta Vortex

Very stylish physics based puzzle game. Active the blocks, and use the vortexes to reach the sauna on each level and progress through this beautifully designed game.

It’s Good To Share

We’ve made it even easier to share the games you love here at Kwikgames with your friends! At the top of every game page you’ll now see three new, easy to use buttons which allow you to share the game via Facebook, tweet the game via Twitter, or add the game to a huge range of social media and bookmarking sites via AddThis.

This is the first of a number of new features to be rolled out here at Kwikgames over the next few weeks.  Following shortly will be a new game submit feature, high score leaderboards, and competitions.

Each button comes with a preloaded share message which you can edit, so sharing is now easier than ever! This is what the buttons look like, why not click one right now and give it a try?

Big Bucks - The Real Time Property Development Game

What do you get if you cross Monopoly with a real time strategy game, and throw in arcade style cartoon characters and power-ups? Well, you get this awesome new game Big Bucks!

This is definitely my favorite new game this month. You drive around the town stopping at each property which you can buy and develop, but you’ll have to pay rent when you land on your opponent’s properties. The game is played in real time, so you have to be quick and buy as much as you can, but spend too fast and you might not have enough in the bank to pay the bills.

The wacky characters are awesome, there’s a great variety of layouts and some cool power-ups, which all together make this a really fun game. The built in tutorial is very clear and you’ll learn the rules in no time. The only thing I would say though - click on the menu and turn the music off, it really gets on your nerves pretty quickly!

Three New Arcade Games

We’re in the middle of a big overhaul here at Kwikgames, with over 20 great new games to add over the next few days, and even more to come over the next month. NiM Master - Infuriating Puzzle Game

We came across a great little puzzle game today, and just had to add it to the site. The game is called NiM Master, and as puzzle games come, it couldn’t be simpler.

You start off with several rows of stones. You, and the computer opponent take it in turns to remove any number of stones, from any single row. Play then alternates and the winner is the player who removes the last stone. Sounds simple? Well it is, but I guarantee it will take you a while before you can beat the game!

3 Of The Best Games Of All Time

It seems that hundreds of new Flash games are released every week these days, and while some of them are certainly good, there are many more which are very weak. If you’re looking for fun free games then you’ll find hundreds here at Kwikgames, but these are 3 of my all time favorites. If you’ve not played them already then definitely give them a go!

1. Crush The Castle. This game, and “Crush The Castle - The Players Pack” sequel simply has to be on any list of the best or most popular Flash games of the past few years. Published by Armor Games, Crush The Castle like many great games is extremely simple, but amazingly addictive. The aim of the game is to use a trebuchet to knock down a castle, with each level getting progressively more difficult.

The gameplay is very simple, just click the mouse to start the trebuchet’s swing, and once again to release the ammunition. The game starts with only small rocks for ammo, but beating certain levels unlocks bigger rocks, multiple rocks and even bombs. Completing the game takes a good aim, and a certain amount of strategy. You’ll need to carefully choose the right ammo and tactics to crush some of the castles, and beat the entire game. If you love the first game and want more be sure to check out the sequel, and let’s hope for another game in the series soon!

2. Bloons. Once again, one of the most fun and addictive games is incredibly simple. In fact, even though I’ve completed every level more than once, I still go back to play it again! In the game you control a dart throwing monkey, and your goal is to pop all the balloons by throwing your darts. There are 50 levels in the first Bloons game, and loads more in the sequels!

You have a limited supply of darts, and the levels are designed in such a way that you’ll need to work out the right strategy for each level. You can pick up powerups along the way, and you’ll encounter special baloons types to burst. It’s a great game, and some of the sequels (such as Bloons tower defense) are almost as good too!

3. Grow Cube. OK so this is the odd one out, while the first 2 games on this list are incredibly simple and easy to explain, Grow Cube doesn’t really fit in a specific genre. The game makes the list though simply because it’s amazingly well designed and very clever, and a lot of fun. You control the game with 10 buttons, each of which add something to the cube. Your goal is to press the buttons in the right order to “grow” the cube.

Now if that doesn’t sound like much of a game, that’s only because you really need to play this game to understand it. It’s the intricate and funny animations caused by the player’s inputs whcih make the game so fascinating to play and watch. Get the order wrong and there will be terrible consequences, but get it right and you’ll be rewarded by watching all sorts of things happen in a cliver sequence. It’s impossible to get across the beauty of this game in words, so go and play the game and I’m sure you’ll agree with me that its place on this list is well deserved!

2 New Platform Games

Bubba Time A fun and unique platform/puzzle game with some nice gameplay twists. Bubba Time is a crossover between a cute and stylish platform game, and a puzzler. Work your way through each of the well design levels, collecting the pieces of the broken click, all the while manipulating time to help you on your adventure!

Running Blue Retro styled fast paced platform game. It doesn’t get much more retro than this - a classic old school platform game, reminiscent of the early ’90s. Run, jump, kill enemies and collect coins in an attempt to make the end of each level and save your buddies!

New Multi-Player Poker Game

Just a quick update today, we’ve been getting requests for more poker games on the site so here we go, a fully featured multi-player Texas Hold’em Poker game from Ego City!

It’s a free to play poker game where you can pit your wits against other players all over the wrld for play money. The game features nice animated avatars and all the features you’d expect in a poker game like this, an easy to use lobby, chat features and more.

This is the first totally free and fully featured Flash poker games we’ve come across. It doesn’t quite have the polished graphics and “wow factor” of Governor of Poker, but since it’s multiplayer it cartainly beats it in the playability stakes!

New poker games and card games added today

Three new games added today, all based on poker but with a twist!  Each game is a strange combination of poker hands and another genre (arcade, puzzle, board game etc.)

Have a go, see what you think, and if you think that they can’t live up to the real thing then play Governor of poker instead - it’s by far the best free poker Flash game anywhere!

Flying Poker A bit of a strange combination of card game and arcade game in this poker-shooter!

Poker Jong A fun combination of poker and mah jong. Try to remove all the tiles, while making the highest scoring poker hands.

Poker Drop Make 5 card poker hands by clicking on adjacent cards and removing them from the grid.

Watch out for some new strategy games and sports games coming soon, along with a cool arcade game and a free tutorial for anyone interested in creating games themselves! (watch this space…)

Paper Canon - Beautiful new Flash game

It’s not often you’ll hear me calling a game beautiful, but that seems a fitting description for this… The simple graphics are ink drawings on paper, but they are so well done and really bring the images to life… Plus the 50 well designed levels are fun (if a little on the easy side) and well worth the Kwikgames game of the week!
